JHS Boys - Big Northern Junior Varsity Tournament @ Sycamore Golf Club Saturday, October 1

The JHS JV golf team traveled to Sycamore for this year's Big Northern JV Tournament. The young Hawks tied for 3rd, but dropped down to 4th as the tie breaker first went to the 5th score, which left JHS and Marengo tied. Going to the 6th man, Marengo edged out JHS by 1 stroke.

Cody Krueger took 7th place out of 61 golfers with a 44 to earn a JV All Conference selection. Matt Weingart and Mike Boyd each shot 47 to place in the top 15 and receive honorable mention all conference.

JHS Boys - Crystal Lake South @ Redtail, Tuesday, September 27

The JHS golf team traveled to Redtail Golf Club to take on the Crystal Lake South Gators on Tuesday. Too bad for the Hawks, but they were supposed to travel to Crystal Lake CC. After some confusion, the Gators arrived and the match was held.

JHS Boys @ Big Northern Conference Tournament, Thursday, September 29 @ Prairieview in Byron

On a very sunny and slightly chilly day, the JHS boys golf team traveled to Byron for the school's last Big Northern Conference Tournament. The boys were looking to improve on their 8th place finish during the regular season. Their 390 score was good enough to finish in 8th place.

Byron won today's conference meet and was the regular season champ.

JHS Girls - Big Northern Conference @ Nippersink GC, Wednesday, September 28

The JHS girls golf team placed 4th place at this year's conference golf tournament. Combined with their second place season finish, the Hawks finish the year in 3rd place overall in the second season of girls golf at Johnsburg High School.

Sarah Bereiter shot a 94 to place second. This is Sarah's fourth consecutive top 8 finish at the BNC and her fourth consecutive All Conference selection. Liz Mulvey overcame some opening hole jitters to finish in 10th place and earn All Conference honors.

The Lady Skyhawk golf team will be playing in the Lake Forest Regional on Monday at Lake Bluff golf course.
