Misc. Info
Just some odds and ends for everyone.
- I would like to congratulate all the players on a great first week. Everyone is working hard and playing solid golf. In case anyone is interested, the best round we had all of last year was a 169. In our first 2 matches this year, we've beat that score both times.
- 2 years ago McHenry beat us by 40 strokes, last year they beat us by 19, this year only 3.
- With a lot of the season still ahead, our team average is 11 strokes better than last year.
- Great job fellas!!!
- Chapel Hill wanted me to let you know that if you are NOT a member at Chapel, you can show your school id and let them know you are a member of the golf team and they will let you play for $9.
- I have extra t-shirts if anyone would like to buy one. I still have all sizes and the cost for an extra shirt would be $8. For anyone interested, the "33" on the shirt is one shot less than the school record for 9 holes. Zach Gasior was close the other day.
- Thanks a whole bunch to the Ardens and the Mulveys for our post match sandwiches and drinks.
- We still have 3 home matches and a few of the parents have asked about bringing food. Our remaining home matches are Tuesday, Sept. 9, Tuesday, Sept 16, and Thursday, Sept 18. Let me know which date you would like and what you would like to bring. If there are more than 3 families, we can split up the duties. Again, thanks so much.
- Finally, we have practice on Monday after school. If your golfer needs a ride, they should see me during the school day and let me know.
