JHS vs. Richmond-Burton @ Nippersink Golf Club - Monday, August 25, 2014

Storms, lightning, another outing on the course, it wasn't the perfect day to play golf but after a brief delay the Skyhawks and the Rockets squared off in a Big Northern Conference golf match. A shotgun start and every group in golf carts, the match lasted barely two hours with the Rockets defeating the Skyhawks 151 to 172. Grant Fisher shot a career low with a 37 and Jake Doherty fought back from being 5 over par on his first three holes to finish with a 43. The Skyhawks drop to 0-1 in the conference and 3-6 overall.

The JV Skyhawks fielded a team of 6 freshmen for the first time in 13 years. While there was much improvement from their last match they still couldn't quite overtake Richmond and dropped their match 175 to 242. Trevor Wotring shot his high school low with a 53 as did Matthew Shelton with a 61.
