Byron Tiger Invite @ PrairieView Golf Course, Friday, August 20, 2010
The Skyhawks traveled to Byron this afternoon to compete in the 18 hole Byron Tiger Shootout, but the weather didn't cooperate and it became a 9 hole event.
The Hawks shot a 168 to finish in 2nd place, 2 strokes behind the host Tigers. Rick Pries shot a 41 to finish in 3rd place, Colin Goulet's 41 was good enough for 4th, Jake Gasior and Cullen Mulvey each shot 45s, but Jake edged out Cullen for the 10th spot.

The Skyhawks dropped their first match of the year to heated rival McHenry on a hot, steamy afternoon at Boone Creek. The heat was no match for Rick Pries however as he fired a 1 under par 35. Rick's round included an eagle and 2 birdies.

In the JV match on Thursday, McHenry easily defeated the Skyhawks with 6 players shooting in the 40's. Joey Kass and Brian Legnaioli both posted 47s to lead the way.

Palatine F/S Invite @ Cary Country Club - Wednesday, August 18, 2010
The F/S open the 2010 season this morning as the competed in the Palatine F/S Invite. There were over 130 golfers from 22 schools. The Skyhawks finished a very respectable 12th out of 22 teams.
Alec Brown and Brian Legnaioli led the way for the Hawks with 88s.

Picture Day
Hopefully everyone brought home the picture forms. Since we have a tournament on Wednesday, the 18th, the golf team's picture day is being rescheduled.
