Chapel Hill - New Golf Home for the Skyhawks
For the upcoming 2008 season, the Skyhawks will be returning to Chapel Hill. This move should increase our home course advantage as many of the Skyhawks are members there and play hundreds of holes there each summer.
Chapel Hill's location near JHS also means that we will not have to take a bus to home matches or practices.
With a very strong group of returning golfers, playing at Chapel Hill puts many school records in jeopardy, including low team score (156), low team average (167.2) and low individual round (34).
We will kick off our home season on Tuesday, August 18 against Woodstock.

2008 Fall Golf Tryouts - Updated 2:07PM 8/4/08
Tryouts for this year's JHS Boys golf team will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 1PM at Pro Circle in Spring Grove and Thursday, August 14th at Chapel Hill at 7AM.
To try out for the golf team you must have a clearance card on file in the Athletic Director's office by 12 PM on the 13th and pay your $50 tryout fee. The AD's office will be open on Wednesday morning. No one will be allowed to tryout without a clearance card.
You only need to bring your clubs to Pro Circle on Wednesday. Range balls will be provided. Please dress golf appropriate. There will be NO transportation to/from Pro Circle and the tryout should last about 1 1/2 hours.
Tee times for Thursday's tryout will begin at 7AM. Please be at Chapel Hill by 6:40AM. Again, there will be no transportation to/from Chapel Hill. We will be playing 18 holes, dress golf appropriate. Players will need to bring their own clubs, balls and tees. Golfers will be done with their round at approximately 12 Noon.

For those of you making the team, there will be a short meeting at the high school on Friday morning @ 7:30AM. We will be passing out shirts, windbreakers and other supplies.
The top 8 players will be playing in the Byron Tiger Shootout on Monday in Byron. I will tell those 8 players on Friday.
