HISTORY MAKERS!!!!!
The Johnsburg Boys Varsity golf team qualified for the IHSA Sectionals for the first time in school history. The Hawks shot a 343 to finish 3 strokes behind Lakes HS and 1 stroke behind Grayslake North HS to earn a berth in the Marian Central Sectional. The boys shot 17 strokes better on the back nine (163) than the front to sneak into 3rd place.
Zach Gasior was a model on consistency shooting a 42-43 to lead the Skyhawks. Tyler Chambers improved 9 strokes on the back shooting 47-38 for another 85 as he also lead the Hawks in scoring. Tim Mulvey shot 7 better on the back to end with an 87. Jake Arden rounded out the scoring with an 86. Bob Hutchinson's 88 was the best 18 hole score of the season that didn't count. Rick Pries added a 93 for the Hawks.

Practice after school on Wednesday at Pro Circle for the sectional qualifiers and the F/S team members playing on Saturday (J Gasior, Goulet, Foxx, Maggioncalda, Schmitt, Rackow)

Antioch Sequoit Invite @ Antioch CC - Saturday, October 4, 2008
The Skyhawks headed to Antioch CC for the third time this season in a warm up for Tuesday's IHSA regional. The Hawks played well and finished 2nd to Lakes High School. Tim Mulvey led the Hawks with an 84, Jake Arden and Zach Gasior added 85s. Tyler Chambers improved from a 12 over on the front to a 3 over on the back to round out the scoring for the Skyhawks.
Practice on Monday (weather permitting) will be a nine hole match play competition for everyone. Coach will be dividing all the players into 2 teams to compete in a Ryder Cup style match play. The teams will be announced later today (Sunday.)
