Fox Valley Conference Tournament - Thursday, October 2, 2008
The Skyhawk golf team competed in the Fox Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday at Oak Grove Golf Course in Harvard. The Skyhawks matched last season's finish with a 9th place spot, but the Hawks were 14 strokes better.
Jake Arden shot an 80 to finish 10th among the 84 golfers and earned all-conference honors. Tim Mulvey's 86 was 1 stroke away from an all conference berth.

In their second to last match of the season, the Hawks played the tough back nine at Antioch CC to their season average of 168 to defeat the Bulldogs. Tyler Chambers and Jake Arden shot matching 39s to lead the Skyhawks. The boys are now 7-8 on the season.

In the JVs last match of the season, the Hawks played 6 strokes below their season average and beat the Bulldogs by 10. Bill Wiltse was the medalist in the match shooting his season low of 42 in his last high school match. Dan Poczkalski came back from 3 weeks off because of a shoulder injury and shot a 47.

It's hard to believe but the golf season has only two or three weeks left. There is a lot going on and it can get confusing, so here's our schedule for the last two weeks (players will be told by Coach Frey when they are playing):
