Fox Valley Conference Tournament @ Golf Club of Illinois - Thursday, October 3, 2013

All kinds of weather greeted the Skyhawks this morning at the Golf Club of Illinois; fog, mist, wind, rain, and finally sunshine. The Hawks played well and grinded out their lowest 18 hole score of the year, firing a 355. The Hawks avenged earlier losses to Grayslake Central and Woodstock.

Zach Matejka shot an 85 to finish in 22nd place. 22nd place earned Zach All-Conference Honors. It is only the 4th time a Skyhawk has earned Fox Valley All Conference.

JHS vs. Grant @ Antioch Golf Club - Monday, September 30, 2012

The post season is right around the corner and the Skyhawks seem to be playing their best golf. Monday at Antioch Golf Course, the Hawks shot their second lowest round of the season and defeated Grant, 169 to 193. Grant Fisher broke through the 40 barrier for the first time in his life, leading the way with a 39. Jake Doherty's 42 was next best. The win gives Johnsburg a 5-9 dual record and a 25-16 record overall.

The JV Hawks also shot their 2nd best score of the year, but it wasn't quite enough as they dropped their match with the Bulldogs. Sean Rorig's 49 was the best.

Fran Noyes Invite @ The Oak Club of Genoa - Saturday, September 28, 2013

In a tune up for conference tournaments and regionals, the Skyhawk played some of their best golf of the season and finished with a very respectable 8th place finish out of the 23 team field.

The Skyhawks scored 82 points in the Stableford scored tournament (Birdies were worth 4 points, Pars worth 2 and bogeys worth 1.)

Zach Matejka finished with 20 points and Jake Schyvinck was right behind with 19. Jake Doherty had 17, Grant Fisher had 16 and Jesse Blankenship scored 11.

Next up for the Hawks, Grant, on Monday, September 30th. Bus time is 3PM.
