It wasn't the best day to play golf but the Skyhawks and the Indians battled out in the BNC conference match on Thursday with Marengo going home with a 15 stroke victory. Colin Wotring shot his season low with a 43 to pace the Skyhawks who fall to 2-2 in the BNC, 3-6 in dual matches and 6-9 overall.

The JV squad shot their 2nd best round of the year but couldn't manage to overtake the visiting Indians. David Fitzgerald was low for the Hawks with a 53.

The Skyhawks avoided the rain but couldn't escape the cool wind and the host Tigers, dropping their non-conference match 167 to 187. Grant Fisher's 39 was the low for Johnsburg who now fall to 3-5 on the season. Next up: Marengo, tomorrow at Nippersink Golf Course.

JHS vs. Harvard & Grant @ Oak Grove - Monday, September 8, 2014

The boys' golf team traveled to gorgeous Oak Grove on Monday to play the host Hornets but were pleasantly surprised when our Fox Lake neighbors from Grant also showed up. The Skyhawks beat Harvard by 4 strokes in the BNC match and bested the Bulldogs by 21 in a non-conference match. Grant Fisher's 40 was the Hawks low score, Jake Doherty was 2 behind with a 42. Anthony "Smores" Moore shot his career varsity best with a 48 to swipe a victory from Harvard. The varsity team is now 2-1 in conference play, 3-4 in dual matches and 6 - 7 overall.
