Johnsburg High School Golf

The Skyhawks made their first visit of the year to beautiful Antioch Golf Course. Their home away from home seemed to help the varsity wake up from their season long slumber. Cullen Mulvey's low round of the year, 81, led the Skyhawks to a 2nd place finish in the 8 team event. The team's 2nd place finish continued their strong play in the Bulldog Invite as the varsity team has placed in the top 6 out of the last 7 years. Alec Brown penciled in an 88 to take 10th place and take home a shiny new medal. Zach Matejka finished the tournament in 13th place, which was kind of unlucky because he was the first player missing out of the medal ceremony.

 The tournament finished puts the Skyhawks overall record at 10-5.

After a brief wait while the Rams had to make the detour from Boone Creek, the Skyhawks dropped their contest with Grayslake Central on a beautiful day in McHenry. Cullen Mulvey shot a 43 to lead the way.

The JV Hawks played pretty darn well today losing by 9 to the younger Rams. Steffan Miller and Ben MacFarlane both shot 43s to pace the Skyhawks.

The Skyhawks traveled to Marengo to battle old Big Northern foes in this annual quad. The Hawks had lots of great holes and a few too many not so great holes, finishing 3rd the the event.

Brian Legnaioli led the Skyhawks with 43.

Due to a course conflict, today's match with Woodstock has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 12, 4PM at Plum Tree National Golf Course.
