Johnsburg High School Golf

The Johnsburg Skyhawks competed at the Grant Bulldog Invitational on Saturday and came home a handful of hardware. The Hawks shot a 352 to take 3rd place and Tim Mulvey took home a 4th place medal while Jake Arden earned an 11th place honor.

Man it was close (and dark.) The Hawks played their best match of the year at home and nearly pulled off the upset of one the Fox Valley's best. Jake Arden had 2 birdies to earn medalist honors with a 41. Tyler Chambers ran into some trouble on the 9th hole, but still shot a 42. The Skyhawks are now 1-6 in the Fox Valley and 3-8 overall.

The Skyhawks continued their consistent play shooting another 176, but fell to the visiting Wolves. Jake Arden was 1 stroke away from being the match's medalist shooting a 42. Tim Mulvey added a 43. The Hawks fall to 1-4 in the FVC and 3-6 overall. Prairie Ridge moves to 4-2.

The Prairie Ridge JV team, led by Casey Scheidner's 36 and Alex Frey's 41 beat the Johnsburg JV, the Johnsburg Varsity and the Prairie Ridge varsity. Bob Hutchinson had a great round for the Hawks shooting a 41, Rick Pries added another solid round with a 44.
