In the 15th annual Cardamone Invite, in which stroke and match play scores are used, the Skyhawks led Marian 6 - 0 after the first 3 golfers but couldn't finish off the Hurricanes losing 9 out of the last 10 points to drop the contest 9 - 7.

The 7 1/2 points were the most scored by the Hawks in the last 6 years.

Tim Mulvey beat Marian's #1 shooting a 44 to score 2 points.
Jake Arden stayed hot shooting a 42 to score 2 points against Marian.
Bob Hutchinson overcame an errant first tee shot and a triple bogey later on to shoot a 42 and score 2 points vs. his Marian opponent.
Cody Krueger shot a solid 45 to wrestle 1/2 of a point from McHenry. This is the first point we've scored against McHenry this century.
Sean Rodgers returned from vacation to shoot a 47 and score 1/2 of a point against Marian.
Tyler Chambers' 42 tied for the low Skyhawk round but it could only garner 1/2 of a point vs. Marian.
Weston Rohner shot his second 49 at McHenry CC while Kevin Wolf shot the exact same score that he had Thursday against the McHenry JV.

A good day for the Skyhawks.
