JHS vs. Grant @ Chapel Hill - Monday, September 28, 2009

JHS 175
Grant 184

The Skyhawks had many enemies to battle last night including the wind, the Bulldogs and their own nerves. Knowing they needed to shoot a 181 or better to break the school record for 9 hole match average, the boys were not very excited about playing in 33 mph winds. Their scores were a bit higher than normal, but still under their magic number. Thanks in large part to Tyler Chambers and his great score of 37, the 2009 Boys golf team are now the all-time best dual match players in school history. The Skyhawks are now 7-8 in dual matches and 36-11 overall.

In other school record news, Jake Arden is now the holder of the lowest dual match average in school history. Jake finishes the season averaging 39.6 for our dual matches which beat Phil Schweitzer's previous school record of 39.7. Congratulations Jake!!!
